The area is known for its challenging, technical terrain, as well as its scenic, high-alpine rides. You'll find everything from flowy singletrack to rocky descents.

  • Crested Butte itself is not specifically designated as its own IMBA Ride Center, it's considered a world-class destination. The trails here are legendary and were part of the original mountain biking boom. The Roaring Fork Valley IMBA Ride Center (which includes Aspen/Snowmass) is a Gold-Level Ride Center and is in the same general region of Colorado.
  • Trail 401: One of the most iconic and photographed trails in Colorado, famous for its stunning alpine scenery, wildflower meadows (in season), and long, flowing descent.

  • Trail 403 (to Washington Gulch): Another high-alpine classic known for its breathtaking views and challenging climbs leading to a rewarding descent.
