  • IMBA Ride Center: Recognizing its growing trail system and cycling-friendly atmosphere, Redlands has earned designation as an IMBA Bronze-Level Ride Center.

  • Herngt 'Aki' Preserve: (pronounced Her-ingT AH-key) is a significant area of conserved land that holds growing interest for mountain bikers due to its expanding network offering riders scenic views of the surrounding hills, native chaparral, and glimpses of the San Timoteo Creek.

  • South Hills Preserve (also known as Crafton Hills or Oakmont Park): This area offers a network of trails with a mix of climbs, descents, and some technical sections. It's popular with local riders for its accessibility. Trails like Zanja Peak offer good views.

  • Hulda Crooks Park / San Timoteo Canyon: Provides trails with varying difficulty, often featuring chaparral and canyon scenery. It can be hot in the summer.

  • Santa Ana River Trail (SART) - sections near Redlands: While much of the SART is paved, there are unpaved sections and offshoots in the foothills that offer mountain biking opportunities, often more cross-country in nature.

  • Big Bear / Snow Summit (approx. 1-1.5 hours drive): For more extensive and gravity-focused riding, many Redlands riders head up to Big Bear Lake, which features Snow Summit Bike Park (lift-accessed) and an extensive network of US Forest Service trails.
